Who we are

What we collect, and why

The intake on this site asks why you are choosing Korea, which areas you are considering, rough timing and length of stay, where you are traveling from, your name and email, a preferred messaging app if you have one, and anything you choose to add. We ask so that the reply you receive is a considered one and reaches you where you prefer. Only the first question, your timing, where you are traveling from, your name, your email and the consent line are required.

If you write to us by email or a messaging app, we hold what you send.

The site is hosted on Vercel, which keeps standard server logs, such as your IP address, browser and the pages requested, for a short time for security. We use Vercel Web Analytics, which sets no cookies and does not identify you across sites; it counts page views and a few named actions, such as the form being started or sent. The site loads no advertising, no tracking pixels, no social plug-ins and no third-party fonts.

Medical information

Please leave medical history off the form and out of a first message. If you choose care in Korea, the details that matter clinically are discussed in conversation, privately, and go to the clinician you choose, not into our files.

To coordinate a stay we may hold a small amount of health-related detail, such as appointment dates and any restrictions your clinician sets on activity, for as long as the stay needs it and no longer than [period]. We never hold your medical records; those stay with your clinicians.

Messaging apps

If you prefer to talk over [WhatsApp] or [KakaoTalk, if staffed], the conversation is also stored by that app's provider under its own terms. If you would rather keep everything on email, say so, and we will follow your lead.

Who sees it

Inside The Seoul Liaison, the people arranging your stay. A partner, such as a clinic, studio, hotel or driver, receives only what is needed to arrange what you have agreed to, and only once you have agreed to it; our partner standard includes privacy. The services that run the site and deliver our email, Vercel and Resend, act on our instructions and for no other purpose. Anyone the law requires us to tell.

We do not sell or rent information, and we do not share it for advertising.

Where it goes

We work in Seoul and the United States, so what you tell us may be stored and read in both countries, under the rules that apply in each.

How long we keep it

An intake that does not become a stay is deleted after [period]. Records of a stay are kept for [period], for accounting and in case you return, then deleted.

Your choices

Write to [email] to see what we hold about you, to correct it, or to have it deleted. We answer within [two business days]. If you live in a state or country whose privacy law gives you further rights, the same address handles those requests.

Under 18

The Seoul Liaison arranges stays for adults. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.
